Research Overview
The overarching focus of my research is synthesizing numerical models of solid and fluid mechanics with various types of geophysical and geological data in order to:
- constrain properties of active volcanic systems (e.g., magmatic gas content and temperature, fault friction)
- understand processes happening in active volcanic systems (e.g., earthquakes, caldera collapse, magma resonance, magma convection, eruption and outgassing dynamics)
I have also modeled controls on ice sheet surface meltwater routing to inform the potential impacts of surface meltwater on ice sheet dynamics
